DUBUG REPORT 29.09.13
Our last ride in September proved a particularly social event for DUBBUG riders. We met at the Urunga BP at 8 to undertake a scenic ride around the Butler Road loop. Since we were reversing out customary direction, one astute rider asked if we would have to ride backwards…
It seemed that within moments of starting, we stopped off in the Bongil Bongil Picnic Area to feast on gluten free sausages and free-range eggs. ED continues to widen his ‘ripple on’ effect. Phil, the Ride Leader, with the unfailing support of Bev, organised our treat. There were many helpers on the day, who exhibited varying degrees of finesse: the precision barbequer mathematically sequencing sausages by length and weight, the all-so-rans gainfully employed in checking whimsical green lights, the bread butterer exacting medical fortitude and the provocative apron model. It was great to catch up with DUBBUGERS Deb and Tim who we have missed over the last few weeks. The clean up party would have challenged the most ruthless and voracious of piranhas … no one would know we had been there!
We were certainly fuelled for our short ride home. Our valiant leader was heading off for a luncheon engagement!
